The hope is that in considering contentment and satisfaction we might be able to own our sorrow and longing and that they might lose some of their venom.

On Sunday July 9, 2006, five children drowned in the Meramec River near Saint Louis and it still wounds me to think of it. An article in the following Tuesday’s newspaper described the desperate moment when one child “slipped beneath the water’s tranquil surface and others rushed to help.” Four of the children belonged to one mourning mother. You guessed it. The Rantings and Ravings of a MAD Christian now has an Official store thanks to the kind people at Cafepress.com.

All proceeds earned go towards getting better recording equipment for podcasting and to various charities and non for profit Christian Organizations. Depending on how much is made each month a different charity or Christian Organization will be chosen to receive a donation.

So not only will you look good when buying a T-shirt you will be helping me promote and you will be helping out people in need through various charities.
